Diwali Travel Information
We want all devotees to have a peaceful journey in and out of the temple. To help this, we ask all attending to please follow the travel guidelines set out by the temple below.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Where possible, we encourage all devotees to try and use public transport. Especially on the night of the grand fireworks display, where we expect lots of traffic in the area.
By underground
The closest station is Stanmore Station (Jubilee line) and is only a 15 minute walk to the mandir.
By bus
The 142 bus stops on Stanmore Hill and is only a 5 minute walk from the mandir. The 107 and 615 bus stops on Brockley Hill are about 10 minutes by walk.
BY CAR
If you are planning to travel to the mandir by car, please follow the guidelines below.
There will be strictly no right turn into the mandir on both Diwali Night and New Years Day (Annakut Utsav). This means it will not be possible to turn into the mandir when approaching from Stanmore Hill.
We advise all devotees to approach the mandir using the route from Brockley Hill, shown in blue on the map below.

From Wembley - Watford road - Kenton Road - Honeypot Lane – Marsh Lane – Dennis Lane – Wood Lane
Walking or cycling
In terms of walking and cycling, Stanmore station is approximately 2¼ km, with the whole journey possible by footway. Cyclists can use the existing cycle lane on the A410.
Stanmore station is on the Jubilee Line with bus 142 accesses and Edgware station is on the Northern Line and may be accessed from both buses.
